The Crew

Licensed Surveyor and Katherine manager, Nannette Helder Nannette Helder graduated from the University of NSW in 1985. After a few years in the Sydney suburbs, she relocated to the Outback and managed a Seismic Oil & Gas exploration survey crew. In 1992 she settled in Katherine. She has got to know the town and surrounding areas very well through mapping the Region’s powerpoles. From 1997 onwards, she has been actively involved in the majority of survey projects taking place in the area. Nannette is also a member of the local Development Consent Authority.

Licensed Surveyor and Computer Programmer, John Humphries.

John Humphries grew up in Darwin, and made his new home in Katherine in 1998.

A Licensed Surveyor since the early 80's he has undertaken many surveying duties throughout the Top End.

John diversified into the surveying related computing arena for a number of years, working for IBM and later as a consultant.

The move to Katherine in 1998 saw a long awaited return to the healthy lifestyle of a true surveyor.
